Chain of Command

1. Board of Directors

   These ranks represent the highest level of authority, acting as the elected officials for the Special District. They set the tax rate, strategic direction, and overall policy for the fire district.  

❕Notice: The Board of Directors consist on the department management from the main server which oversees the entire department. 

2. Fire Commission

Elected Members of the community to be part of the Fire Commission

• Fire Commissioner

• Deputy Commissioner

3. Operational Command

These officers manage the daily "boots on the ground" operations. They command scenes, manage staffing for shifts, and ensure stations are running correctly. 

• District Chief

• Battalion Chief

4. Line Officer

The company commanders. They live in the fire station with the crew and lead them into burning buildings. 

• Captain

• Lieutenant

5. Crew

The tactical workforce. Liberty County Fire Rescue is unique because it heavily integrates medical transport(Ambulances) with fire suppression. 

• Master Firefighter/Engineer
